As the Organising Chairperson for the Paediatric Onco-Endocrinology Meeting (POEM), I am honored to extend my support and leadership to this initiative aimed at addressing the challenges and advancements in the management of endocrine tumors and long-term endocrine complications in cancer survivors. In my years of experience at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center, Bengaluru, I have witnessed the vital need for multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient care in this specialized field.
This conference serves as a platform to unite experts across multiple specialties, including Hemato-oncology, Radiation Oncology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, and Reproductive Medicine. Our collective objective is to create a robust knowledge-sharing environment, enriching the understanding and expertise of participants, particularly young endocrinologists navigating complex patient cases.

Welcome to the Paediatric Onco-Endocrinology Meeting (POEM)
As the Organizing Secretary for the Pediatric Onco-Endocrinology meeting(POEM) , I am driven by my personal journey as a young consultant facing the complexities of managing endocrine tumors and long-term endocrine effects in cancer survivors. Working at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges and multidisciplinary efforts required to provide the best care for these patients.
This conference is born out of my passion to bridge the knowledge gap and facilitate collaboration across specialties. By bringing together experts from Hemato-oncology, Radiation Oncology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, and Reproductive Medicine, I aim to provide young endocrinologists like myself with valuable insights into the latest advancements in the field.
Our goal is to foster an environment where the shared expertise of various disciplines can offer comprehensive, up-to-date management strategies, ultimately improving the care we provide to patients facing the late endocrine effects of cancer treatment and endocrine tumors.
