Welcome to the Paediatric Onco-Endocrinology Meeting (POEM)
As the Organizing Secretary for the Pediatric Onco-Endocrinology meeting(POEM) , I am driven by my personal journey as a young consultant facing the complexities of managing endocrine tumors and long-term endocrine effects in cancer survivors. Working at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges and multidisciplinary efforts required to provide the best care for these patients.
This conference is born out of my passion to bridge the knowledge gap and facilitate collaboration across specialties. By bringing together experts from Hemato-oncology, Radiation Oncology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, and Reproductive Medicine, I aim to provide young endocrinologists like myself with valuable insights into the latest advancements in the field.
Our goal is to foster an environment where the shared expertise of various disciplines can offer comprehensive, up-to-date management strategies, ultimately improving the care we provide to patients facing the late endocrine effects of cancer treatment and endocrine tumors. I invite you to join us in this collaborative learning experience, designed to benefit not only the practitioners but, most importantly, our patients.
